REFURBISHMENT

About the Project

We successfully delivered a comprehensive refurbishment at Blandford Community Hospital,
carefully phased over three stages to minimise disruption and ensure the hospital remained fully
operational throughout.

Phase 1: Consisted of the conversion of existing rooms into modern male and female changing facilities, alongside the creation of a welcoming waiting area for patients and visitors. Additionally, state-of-the-art IT hubs
and an upgraded medical records department were developed to support hospital operations.

Phase 2: Focused of the removal of outdated locker rooms, shower rooms, and toilets to accommodate new consultation rooms. Additional offices were built for administrative and clinical staff, along with clean and dirty utility spaces to improve workflow an accessible toilet.

Phase 3: Saw the complete rip-out and redesign of the Betty Highwood. Open-plan offices and meeting rooms were created to encourage collaboration, alongside the installation of modern staff and patient toilets. Consultation rooms and breakout areas were created to enhance patient care and while supporting staff wellbeing and relaxation.

The refurbished spaces now offer a modern, efficient environment for healthcare delivery, staff operations, and patient comfort. The addition of breakout areas and open-plan offices has significantly improved workplace morale and collaboration.
